PUTTIN’ ON THE RIIIIIIIIIIIITZ!!!!!!
Young Frankenstein returns to the Colonial Theater on Thursday, October 20 at 7:30PM. For one night only, come see Mel Brooks’ not-so-scary tale of Dr. Frankenstein (pronounced Fronk-en-steen) and his assistant Igor (i.e., Eye-gor) as they re-animate the body of Peter Boyle with the mind of the recently departed, Abby Normal.
There’s no beating Brooks on the silver screen at the Colonial! You voted well, Idaho Falls. Don’t miss Gene Wilder, Peter Boyle, Marty Feldman, Madeline Kahn (of course), Cloris Leachman, and Teri Garr together in what is arguably the funniest cast ever assembled in one film.
We won’t get another Gene Wilder. Come pay tribute with laughter. How else?!
Never seen it? Here’s the gist:
A young neurosurgeon (Gene Wilder) inherits the castle of his grandfather, the famous Dr. Victor von Frankenstein. In the castle he finds a funny hunchback called Igor, a pretty lab assistant named Inga and the old housekeeper, frau Blucher -iiiiihhh!-. Young Frankenstein believes that the work of his grandfather is only crap, but when he discovers the book where the mad doctor described his reanimation experiment, he suddenly changes his mind… –from IMDB
